Welcome to the Heterogenous catalysis group at IITGN

We develop catalytic technologies or processes for industrially relevant reactions and along the way address the mechanism and associated fundamental questions. We have a well-equipped laboratory for electro-catalysis, photo-catalysis and gas-solid thermal catalysis, where we currently explore areas like, CO2 conversion to fuels, biomass pyrolysis, materials for selective adsorption, gas purification, electrochemical and photo-electrochemical oxidation and reduction to name a few. We aspire to be a leader in catalysis research and also to be associated with industries and academic groups across the globe who share similar interests.
